Midnight Season 2 PvP Overview

In our Midnight Season 2 PvP review, we will cover all the new additions to Arenas and Battlegrounds. We’ll tell you which new gear sets are available in PvP and what massive changes were made to slowing-effects.
Read on to find out which seasonal PvP achievements, mounts, and transmogs are available to earn in Midnight Season 2. You will also learn how, with WoW progression help, you can easily reach your desired rank or unlock tier sets.
Midnight Season 2 PvP Changes
Significant changes to slow effects in PvP were introduced in Midnight Season 2. The potency of numerous ranged spells and abilities that applied passive slows or maintained near-constant slow uptime was substantially reduced. For instance, the Death Knight’s Chains of Ice slow was lowered from 70% to 50%, and the Warlock’s Curse of Exhaustion from 50% to 30%.
Overall, patch 12.1 prioritizes the strength of melee classes, significantly reducing the survivability of ranged classes. Similarly, non-passive slow effects applied via melee attacks received buffs, surpassing pet-applied slows in terms of potency. In Season 2 of Midnight, the diminishing returns threshold for Crowd Control was raised from 16 to 20, disrupting the Season 1 meta, specifically affecting the stun-heavy playstyle of Subtlety Rogues.
Some minor adjustments unrelated to slowing effects were also made to other skills across various classes. You can find more detailed information regarding the PvP changes for each class in Patch 12.1 in the Icy Veins guides.
Midnight Season 2 PvP Set

New seasonal tier sets have been added to Curse of Ula’tek, which feature Gladiator and Elite variants, with the Elite version serving as a transmog. To obtain Venomous Gladiator gear, you need to accumulate approximately 10,000 Conquest points; this gear provides base stats as well as 2-piece and 4-piece set bonuses with multipliers that differ from those found on PvE tier sets.
The Elite set, in turn, is a re-colored transmog that does not require a purchase but is unlocked piece by piece only upon reaching specific rating thresholds. Below, you can clearly see which segments unlock at what rating of Arenas:
| Rank | Rating Threshold | Unlocked Elite Set Pieces |
| Combatant | 1000 | Cloak |
| Combatant II | 1200 | Legs, Bracers |
| Challenger | 1400 | Gloves, Boots |
| Challenger II | 1600 | Chest, Belt |
| Rival | 1800 | Shoulders, Helmet |
The Midnight Season 2 PvP gear features a design that blends the season’s signature Primal aesthetic with a more understated, slightly Gothic style. If you want to obtain the Gladiator, Elite, or both gear sets before the season ends, you can utilize WoW boosting services. Professional players can help you raise your rank or farm the necessary amount of Conquest Points quickly, without requiring you to participate in PvP matches yourself.
Midnight Season 2 PvP Achievements
In Midnight Season 2, you can expand your collection with new PvP achievements that grant achievement points, as well as titles, mounts, and cosmetic items. For the most part, all significant and rewarding achievements are linked to Rated Arena and reaching a specific rank. Here are the PvP achievements you can earn in Midnight Season 2:
| Achievement | Requirement | Reward |
| Solo Shuffle Medic: Midnight | Win 100 Solo Shuffle rounds as a Healer at or above Rival I during Midnight | Nightfall Legend’s Pennant toy |
| Battleground Blitz Medic: Midnight | Win 50 Battleground Blitz matches as a Healer at or above Rival I during Midnight | Nightfall Strategist’s Pennant toy |
| Battle Mender: Midnight Season 2 | Win 50 Solo Shuffle rounds as a Healer at or above Rival I during Midnight Season 2 | Battle Mender title |
| Gladiator: Midnight Season 2 | Win 50 3v3 games while at Elite rank during Midnight Season 2 | Venomous Gladiator’s Goredrake mount |
| Rival II: Midnight Season 2 | Earn the rank of Rival II during Midnight Season 2 | Venomcoil weapon illusion |
| Venomous Combatant | Win Rated PvP matches during Midnight Season 2 while at 1000 rating or higher | Vicious Lightbloom Boar mount |
| Venomous Legend: Midnight Season 2 | End Midnight Season 2 in the top 0.1% or top 8 of the Solo Shuffle ladder (requires 50 games won in Midnight Season 2) | Venomous Legend title |
One of the most challenging yet prestigious achievements is Venomous Gladiator: Midnight Season 2. In addition to the requirement of reaching a 2,400+ Arena rating and securing 50 wins at that level, you must finish the season ranked among the top 0.1% of players in your region. This achievement grants you the rare Venomous Gladiator title. Boosthive can help you earn this title regardless of your usual PvP rank. Their WoW services are performed by actual Glads – experienced players who have easily secured such achievements multiple times and can just as easily help you do the same.
Midnight Season 2 PvP Mounts

Some of the most spectacular mounts in Curse of Ula’tek are those you can obtain specifically by playing PvP matches. A total of two mounts were released in Midnight Season 2, which you can obtain by reaching two different Arena ranks. First up is the Vicious Lightbloom Boar, a mount that is relatively easy to obtain. This boar comes in two color variations depending on whether you choose the Horde or the Alliance.
The Alliance version of Vicious Lightbloom Boar features a lighter hide, a saddle with blue accents, and gold armor. Horde players, however, have this mount in shades of scarlet, featuring a red saddle and heavy rose-gold armor. To obtain this mount, you need to reach a rating of 1000 and fill the victory bar while maintaining a rating above 1000.
The second mount, the Venomous Gladiator’s Goredrake, is a genuine challenge for any active PvP player, as it requires securing 50 wins in the 3v3 bracket while holding the Elite rank. The Venomous Gladiator’s Goredrake is a flying mount; it uses the same model as the Gladiator Goredrake from Midnight Season 1 but features bright, toxic-green coloring.
